i bought my psp2006 slim with 3.80 m33-5 firmware ( i dono if its CFW of OFW).. can i upgrade it directly to CFW 5.50 gen-d?? thanks..

I have cfw M33 3.52 vs.2 or 4 I believe anyways what would be the safest route to update to 5.50 or later cfw?
