PSP Firmware 5 will be out soon!

Sorry guys. I haven’t posted here for quite a long time. Well, I’ve been very busy with my work, hanging out with my family and friends. I haven’t been playing and tinkering with my PSP for quite sometime after what happened to it. My PSP still actually works but the LCD is damaged again. I’m looking for a replacement for it but I can’t find any brand new Phat PSPs anymore. I guess I’ll have my Phat PSP repaired and I’ll just wait for the new PSP with built in microphone and new screen.

Anyway, I’m real excited on what Sony is about to release next week. It’s the new firmware 5.0 for the PSP. Below are the new features added on the firmware.

PSP Firmware 5.00:

  • Direct PSN access. PSN stands for PlayStation Network. If you don’t have a PSN account yet, create one now. This is like the App Store on the iPhone/iPod Touch, IMO.
  • Sleep timer option. A feature that should have been there long ago.
  • Full screen keyboard.
  • Redesigned XMB background.
I wonder if Dark Alex is gonna be hacking this new firmware. Well, I hope he does.

    …been reading about this fw for some time now…i guess they won’t be releasing this fw hand-in-hand with the new psp3000…the new psp (I think) is out with a the 4.20fw…:)
