Will there be a 3.72 M33 Custom Firmware for the PSP?
Sony has just released a few days ago the latest official firmware for the PSP, 3.72. It’s available under Network Update on the XMB menu. It made me think whether Dark Alex would still work on a 3.72 M33 if he hasn’t retired yet.
Sony’s new PSP firmware, 3.72 has really no new major features for me to be excited about. Of course like all the other firmwares, the support for new games has been added. Support has also been added for Remote Start of the PS3 system under Remote Play. Of course I won’t be needing that since I don’t own a PS3.
Although 3.72 HX-1, a new firmware reversed engineered from Dark Alex’s custom firmware, is already available I would still stick to my 3.71-M33-3 custom firmware. I’ll just wait for something major on the next firmwares. I know Dark Alex would return to crack the code again.
My next post will be a simple tutorial on how to install update 3 for Dark Alex’s 3.71 M33 firmware. Stay tuned.

I know that you will be working on a simple tutorial soon, but I have a quick question. how do you use the poploader for this cfw. because on the readme it says that you need to decrypted the .prx files. Can you help me with that. Thank you

i know dax is really gud and all that but i’ve made my own custom firmware with a team in bradford, England it’s called fdk and it can do everything m33 does. it’s being released on the 28th of november 07. im sure u’ll thank me for it.

whuts up styles. much salamats for ur clear & concise tuts. it’s how i found ur page and i must say; good readings, cool pix of pinas (cant wait to go back, i’m in US ryt now) and other entertaining brain food! being up to par with techy stuffs, u probly arleady kno about a developer who goes by the name helldashX that recently released his cfw version of 3.72 by reverse engineering Dax’s 371 march33 coding. i was contemplating on trying it out but no 1.5 kernel is avail yet. what do u think? have u heard anything special or worthy about upgrading to fw3.72? although, it seems DaX is still at it supplying us with an update-3 for cfw371 m33. now some games that were not loading properly are up and running on my PSP. Thx to DAX, all other dev’s out thar and to U too for simplified tut’s - make me feel likes a semi-haxor toO. cOoL beans!

yo bro! tnx a lot, u help me on my problem, im a newbies in PSP, I have PHAT b4 its 2.71fw, but I have upgrade it somewhere here, they put 3.51m33, But I need a higher version and seen you site. It helps me to downgrade my unit and upgrade to cfwm33-2. and now I have cfw 3.80m33-4.
