Sony PSP’s new Firmware 3.40 sneaking on your network update
Just a few weeks after the recent release of PSP firmware 3.30, it seems that Sony PSP firmware 3.40 is now available on the South Korea website. So what’s new with this firmware? I don’t know because maybe I don’t want to try it out and it’s Korean. I can’t read Korean you know. And I suggest you guys not to download it. Stay away from it. Ok?
I know that Dark Alex and the PSP team of hackers are ready for this one. It took a day to decrypt the previous firmware 3.30 just after it’s release. I wonder how long the team will take to decryt this one. I heard also that Dark Alex bricked his PSP trying to create a custom firmware based on 3.30 but like we all expected, he has cracked it and released yet another custom firmware, 3.30 OE just a few days ago.
If you guys don’t know what I’m talking about, custom firmwares are firmwares that let the PSP run homebrew applications like PDF readers, notepad editors, music streamer… and a whole lot more.

I want to upgrade from 3.40 version to 3.52 M33-4. I have followed the steps but along the way an error appears indicating that the game cannot be loaded (error 8002— something). I am trying to downgrade to version 1.50 but seems there are no available downgrade installer.
Could you please help me on what’s the best thing to do??
You can upgrade your PSP to 3.50 and use the 3.50 downgrader. You’ll be needing a Lumines UMD though. Google the solution man or you can find it on http://pspupdates.qj.net
