How To Install and Play Your PSP Game Demos
PSP game demos are now available for free download on the internet. When I first bought my PSP, there were no game demos. People at the gaming stores wouldn’t let you try out the game before buying it. Now, that’s risky. New PSP owners are really lucky right now because they really experience the game first before they decide to buy it. Before, PSP owners like me only rely on online game reviews but it’s really different if you experience the game and decide on it.
So how do we install and play the game demos? First, download this file here. This is the Syphon Filter downloadable game demo. This file is zipped so extract the contents first. Then connect your PSP to your computer using a USB cable.

If your PSP MS drive is E, go to this directory, E:PSP/GAME and copy the extracted folder to this directory. Or of the GAME directory does not exist, you create it. In this case place the UCUS98641 folder in the GAME folder. In my experience, the game demo works even if I don’t follow the folder name provided. So you can rename the UCUS98641 to Syphon Filter if you want to.

For a list of game demos, here you go. You can click and download these game demos now. One thing though, some game demos run only on certain firmwares. I’m using a PSP with Dark Alex’s custom firmware 3.03 OE-C but don’t you worry, game demos work on Sony’s Official 3.03 firmware.
- Syphon Filter Downloadable Demo
- TOCA Race Driver 3 Challenge Downloadable Demo
- Medal of Honor: Heroes downloadable demo
- Killzone: Liberation downloadable demo
- Loco Roco Christmas Downloadable Demo
- You can download more demos here from my earlier post
More downloadables are coming soon so don’t you worry if you can’t afford to buy a UMD. Game demos are here for the rescue.

I have a v2.71 psp. Is there a way that I can downgrade to v1.50 and still have the internet? and if so how? And what else would I lose/gain for the downgrade?

@Benjahmin: a WEP key is a password so if you are connecting to someone’s WiFi, you better ask for his WEP key. If you own the wireless router, you can just disable the WEP key so you don’t have to go through it.
@Garry Nerman: Just copy the demo into the PSP/GAME and it will run flawlessly

Help!
My PSP hangs when I try to boot demos…
I tried changing the ‘Game Folder Homebrew’ but I can only choose from 1.50 or 3.52.
It’s not mine and I need to make it run again.
Help!!!

Sorry i dont understand where and how do i make a WEP key ???

A WEP key is like a password so you could connect to your Wireless network. You can create a WEP key by accessing the router. The usual address is 192.168.1.1
From there, navigate to the where the WEp key is and create a WEP key. WEp keys are usually made up of numbers so it’s easier to remember. My suggestion is use your phone number.
After you’ve setup your WEP key on tyour wireless router, create a new connection on your PSP. Scan for network connections then follow the instructions. When you are asked for the WEP key, type it in using your PSP on screen keyboard. Save your connections and exit.
Now try it on your PSP browser. I hope it works.

Hey Chase. His PSP is not bricked ok? We all know about the unbricker already. It’s really a cool release from PSP hackers but some stupid money making people are selling it on Ebay. Now Fanjita’s quit.
