I Own the City

I’ve finally beaten the game, NFS Carbon: Own the City. This game is really cool and has a real slick storyline. I’ve written a short summary about this game to help you out.

The story starts 6 months ago when you and your brother Mick crashes into a car accident. You’re brother Mick dies and you get into a coma. After 6 months, your conciousness returns but you get an amnesia. You are fetched by Sara, your late brother Mick’s girlfriend. Outside the hospital, Carter, your Ace and Wingman is waiting for you. Sara gives you the keys and tests you if you can still drive.

Sara and Carter then takes you to the graveyard where your brother lies. Sara tells you the story about what happened to you and your brother. Sara says there was a third car involved and Carter shows you a picture of the crash he has taken from the side. You are now on a quest to look for that third car. The third car was owned by another driver named Poorboy. After a series of hard races and investigations about your brother’s death, you end up into a warehouse where Sara talks to Ex, your suspect. The warehouse blows up and Sara seems to be caught up on the explosion.

After another series of missions and races, you catch Buddy, the one who caused the car crash and he tells you everything about what he knows. Buddy tells you that he received a text message and cash and that he was set-up too by an unknown person. Then you continue on your quest again.

After you beat MK on a race, you find out that MK is a cop and he is also looking for your bro’s killer. You give him the cellphone that Buddy gave you for him to investigate. MK gives you 48 hours to find an end to this thing. You’re about to race Ex and find out the whole truth. After you beat this guy, the cops arrest him and you find nothing. You find out that Sara is alive and she tells you that it’s not good for you to find out the truth. You then race her and if you beat her you’ll find out that the one who set-up your brother’s death was you.

The game wasn’t really that hard if you have good skills and good judgement. It’s really important that you upgrade your car so you won’t be left behind. For this game I’ve used a fully upgraded Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution IX for the first few races of the game. After beating a few stages and earning some good cash, I bought an Audi TT 3.2 Quattro for the beating. It has a good acceleration and a nice speed. I love this car and I’ve used it on most of the stages. I also have a Nissan 350Z which isn’t really a good car. You see the acceleration stats swell up but it doesn’t show up on the ctual race. It’s way too slow. I advice you not to buy this, get a Carrera instead. For the last territory, I bought a Lamborghini Gallardo. Just like the TT, this car is real fast and it has a nice accelerating speed especially when upgraded.
